Designed for translators doing a large volume of legal document translations, the service provides an extensive database of both English and Spanish legal terms and their equivalents plus individual electronic consultation sessions with one of our comparative law consultants. The service publishes a monthly e-newsletter with more in depth articles on the challenges of translating American and legal terms and concepts into Spanish and visa versa and the difficulties inherent in comparing the English Common Law based American legal system with the Roman Law based Spanish or European legal system.

An annual subscription to NLS’s comparative legal language service includes access to the legal terminology database, 12 issues of the e-newsletter and five individual consultation sessions with the option to purchase additional session blocks.
